The Battle of Naboo

In the last days of Supreme Chancellor Valorum's administration, the Galactic Senate placed heavy taxes on trading to outlying star systems in the Galaxy. In retaliation to the decision, the Trade Federation, headed by Viceroy Nute Gunray, set up a blockade around the small planet of Naboo, halting all shipping to the remote system. It was later revealed that the Federation's aggressive actions were commanded by Darth Sidious, a Dark Lord of the Sith.

Queen Amidala, the young ruler of Naboo, led two Jedi, a small number of her Defense Forces and the Grand Army of the native Gungans in an epic battle against the Federation's army of Battle Droids. The battle was won when Anakin Skywalker, a young Tatooine Podracer pilot, single handedly destroyed the Federation's Droid Control Ship. This stopped the droid control signal and ended the Federation's occupancy.
