The Battle of HothThe Battle of Hoth was the assault of the Rebellion's secret Echo Base on the sixth planet of the Hoth System by the Empire's dreaded Death Fleet, under the command of Darth Vader.The Rebellion had begun evacuation of the base when Imperial forces arrived in the system. With the Rebellion's planetary shields restricting any sort of bombardment, the Imperials were forced to assault the base from the ground. The Rebel defense forces were no match for the amazing Imperial Walkers, and once Echo Base's power generators were destroyed by General Veers, the battle was over. The remaining rebel forces fled, but the Battle of Hoth was a devastating victory for the superior Imperial forces. |
